FPC

FPC default drum samples make my ears bleed. It was going great until I heard those little double bass rolls. It needs work composition-wise too. Simply adding more and more to the song doesn't constitute structure. Research the traits of verses, choruses, bridges etc. As one of the reviewers below me said, it was quite repetitive. That's where having a solid song structure comes in. Clearly defining seperate sections of a song will force you to add variety to it. It was good, but could be so much better.

Overkill

I'm all for the sound of triggered bass drums but you just went nuts with this one. Really overwhelmed the rest of the loop. I'm not really a fan of the fl slayer guitar tone either, but the riffs themselves are quite good. I found myself craving for blast beats somewhere near the end, but I suppose that would have detracted from the looping feel. In future, just calm down with the bass :P

Lol. Yeah, I was kind of just making everything as extreme as possible, and FL Slayer can go eat shit and die for all I care. I almost feel dirty thinking about it! >_< No, I used a much better tool created by the one and only Daven Hughes. I kind of improved it, especially recently. The reason why it kind of sounds like FL Slayer is because of the "bass guitar" patch I used kind of overpowers the guitar. And, so it's mainly its tones that you hear. The guitar is almost indiscernible, but not inaudible. And, yes I will be much better in my later tracks, you can trust me.

The snare in this doesn't sound great. I don't know what recording technique your drummer is using but if he mic'd the top and bottom, the bottom is way too loud. The snares themselves are too loose. Makes the drum sound very cheap. I assume your drummer knows the ins and outs of tuning, so my advice is less snare, more shell tone. Personally I like a snare tuned higher than that, but that's just personal preference.

The vocals are a bit weak. 0:52 especially. The musicianship is quite good though. The overall style reminds me of deftones. If you're trying to go for that "unstable on purpose" vocal style, clean it up a little first.

Instrumentally, this is brilliant. But the vocals are very weak. You killed me, you're filthy? It's hard to take lyrics like that seriously.

With better equipment, this song would be fucking sick. The vocals and snare are a little overwhelming, and the bass drum could be louder.

Alright

Guitar tone and riffs were wicked but the drums sucked royally lol. FPC defaults sound horrible. EZdrummer is what you need, or an actual drummer. The song itself was awesome though.
